The Danish Centre for Design Research is an umbrella organisation under the Danish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education for the design research that takes place at the Aarhus School of Architecture, the Kolding School of Design, and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture and School of Design.
The Danish Centre for Design Research helps establish and promote Danish design research, disseminate knowledge, and build Danish and international networks among research institutions, enterprises and the general public.
The Advisory Research Committee
On behalf of the Danish state, the Danish Centre for Design Research manages earmarked funds for design research. The centre's Advisory Research Committee, which is comprised of three impartial design researchers, makes recommendations about the allocation of funds for specific research projects to the centre's Steering Committee on the basis of a set of guidelines.
